The Scout Association is a voluntary organisation, and you will not be paid for your role. However, no adult should feel that cost prohibits them from taking up a role in Scouting, and we are committed to reimbursing out of pocket expenses for all volunteers. This includes your uniform and can include mileage if necessary.
>Your section leader will have agreed a budget to cover weekly meetings (nominally £10 per child per term). Other larger expenses require pre-approval of the Executive Committee. It is not always necessary for this to be done at a meeting. Contact the Chair or Treasure for advice.
